Lane C. Rees

Business and Consulting Expertise
Lane Rees is President of Human Resource Solutions, Inc., for over ten years providing a wide range of strategic advice to progressive companies and not for profit organizations. Key strengths of consulting are in the area of strategic planning, organizational assessment, facilitating skills, compensation planning, project management and recruiting to positively impact bottom-line results. Further, Rees is a coach and mentor to individuals regarding career planning and development.
Previously, he was employed by Atlantic Richfield Company, a major energy company, for over twenty years in a variety of significant assignments including Director of Human Resources at Prudhoe Bay, the largest oil field in North American, and Manager of Human Resources for SONARCO in the Sahara Desert of Algeria. He worked in a variety of ARCO operating companies initiating and supporting HR initiatives from entry level employees to senior management.
Community Leadership
Rees currently serves on the Texas A&M University International Board and University of West Florida’s College of Business Council. He is Board of Chair of a Foundation with the United Methodist Church. He is on the Executive Committee of the Okaloosa/Walton Workforce Board. Rees is a national member of the Society of Human Resource Management and frequent speaker on HR and related issues.
He is immediate past Chair of the Walton County Area’s Chamber of Commerce Foundation and served on the Chamber Board for six years, including interim President/CEO.
He served as Chair of the Walton County Board of County Commissioners, Vice Chair of the Florida Association of Counties Trust, member of Walton TDC and was appointed by Governor Bush to the Medical Examiners Commission and by the Speaker of the House to the Article V Board.
Professional Certifications and Educational Background
Rees has a Master Degree in Educational Administration (Public Relations emphasis) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Management) both from Texas A&M University.
