Brenda A. Rees

Business and Consulting Expertise
Brenda Rees has presented “Shaping Florida” to schools, business and civic groups, and special events including the 2006 Florida Chautauqua, and Gulf South History and Humanities Conference. She is a noted historian and sought after for her historical writing including the 450 birthday of Pensacola in Vie Magazine Fall 2008 issue.
Brenda has extensive political and community experience working for a variety of elected officials including Alaska Senate President Jan Faiks, US Senator Frank Murkowski, Florida State House Representative Beverly Kilmer, and Field Director for the Republican Party of Florida. Rees was Executive Director of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce BEAR program.
Rees has provided consulting experience from US Senators to local candidates.
Community Leadership
Brenda serves as Chair of the Walton County Heritage Society; on the Board of Directors of the T. T. Wentworth State Museum in Pensacola, FL; elected State Committeeman on the Republican Party of Florida; and numerous other community roles. Earlier service has included being appointed by the Governor of Alaska to the State Redistricting Committee.
Professional Certifications and Educational Background
Brenda received a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching from Sam Houston State University, a Master of Educational Administration with emphasis in public relations from Texas A&M University, and additional history coursework at the University of West Florida.
